My Pyramid Blast Off

My college annual function was around the corner and everyone was preparing for it. The annual function coordinator had scripted a play and everyone was rehearsing for it. The play was hilarious but the title of the play was not decided. The play was about a pyramid.

The play has 4 funny characters, they unknowingly break the pyramid by using fire cracker and people torture them for destroying it. The pyramid is actually made by these 4 foolish people but no one knew about it.

The problem was about, the title of the play. No one was having an idea, what would be the best title for the play. One day, while rehearsing a scene in the play where pyramid gets broken into pieces, a tea boy who used to supply tea to all play members shouted my pyramid blast off and everyone instantly started laughing at him.

All of us decided that this should be the name of our play because it made all of us laugh and it was matching the theme of our play. We all thanked the tea boy for giving us a great title. In our college, the annual day tickets are actually sold to the public so that funds can be raised for welfare of the college. Our college auditorium has around 5000 seats in which 3 shows are held for 3 continuous days. Two shows are for public and one show is for college students.

This year, we decided to make video clips of our play my pyramid blast off for advertisement on local cable channels, so that people can see and come to watch our annual day play. In all the newspapers, we gave advertisements of our play. To popularize the play, the entire cast of the play gave interviews on local news and radio stations.    

The annual day had begun and the tickets for our play were completely sold out. There was mad rush for the tickets. The first day was meant for college students and it was a success. Not all students had got tickets so many students were demanding additional shows. Especially for college students, the college authorities decided to increase the festivities for 2 more days.

The show for general public was also a hit and people were actually going mad about our play my pyramid blast off. At last, the college authorities called for 10 days of annual festivities because of huge public demand.
