I am doing my Bachelor of Science degree in Information technology. I have hardcore computer related subjects in this course. Right now, I am in 2nd year of my degree course. I am a below average student and it is very difficult for me to tackle various subjects of this degree course.
Though my parents have registered me in 3 different coaching classes to gain knowledge, I am having great problem understanding this course.
My teachers are fed-up due to my lack of knowledge. In first year, I some how cleared my papers because most of them were not tough. My 3rd Semester exam was about to start and my preparation for the exam was not good.
Before the theory papers, we have to appear for practical as well as viva-voce in 3 subjects. My practical knowledge of programming was not great but I have some knowledge of coding.
In one viva-voce, the external examiner asked me 20 questions and I was able to answer only 12 of them. Actually, I didn’t understand the last 8 questions. The questions which I didn’t answer were on CSR decoder and I have no knowledge about it.
The external examiner was very angry with my lack of knowledge and asked me to work hard otherwise he told me, it would be very difficult for me to clear the degree course.
I thought CSR decoder was not in my syllabus but when I came out, I saw the topic in my book. The CSR topic mentioned in my book was just of 3 lines and the external examiner had asked me, very high level questions on CSR.
The external examiner had also asked me, the full form of CSR but I was not able to answer him because I had no idea about it. Even, if I had studied CSR topic from the text book, I won’t have been able to answer him because in my text book the full form of CSR was not mentioned, only why it is used was explained.
I went to the internet café and did search for CSR decoder. I came to know CSR means Certificate Signing Request and it contains user information and CSR is always in encoded format. To know the user detail from the certificate, one has to use a decoder to get the necessary information from CSR. Now I knew what CSR decoding was all about, I prepared a note on this topic so that it can be helpful for my theory exam.
