Who Is On Mt Rushmore

I am working with a movie production house and I want to become a documentary movie director but I am not getting a chance. I am working as an assistant director for last 7 years. Most of the directors, I have assisted are junior to me and have no knowledge of documentary film making but due to their strong connections they got a chance ahead of me.

Right now, I am assisting a female director who knew nothing about film making and she is making a documentary film called “Who is on Mt Rushmore“. This female is very incompetent and her project was not on time. The worst part of working with her is that, she never took my suggestions and has completely ruined the project. The production house is worried about the completion of project and they have given her the ultimatum to quickly finish-off the project.

The production house has to submit the project in 2 weeks time but the female director has ditched the project and she is not traceable, this has caused great problem for the production house. The production house has started searching for a new director but no one is ready to deliver the complete documentary on” Who is on Mt Rushmore “in 12 days. The production house requested the producers for few more weeks to complete the documentary and some more time was given for completion.

The production house requested me to direct this documentary film and now, I got a chance which I was waiting for such a long time, but the task was not easy because the time was very less and my entire team would need to work for 20 to 22 hours a day to complete the entire documentary in 20 days.

The entire documentary was to be shot at an outdoor location but there was continuous snowfall and it was impossible for us to make a documentary film. We had lost 5 days and the project was to be cancelled but I decided to shoot the entire documentary in the studio with similar kind of picturesque background.

I was able to complete the documentary film” Who is on Mt Rushmore “and my producers appreciated my work. The film was released on TV and it was critically acclaimed. This documentary got great support in all film festivals it entered and my work was appreciated by everyone. Everyone thought that the movie was shot in an outdoor location but the fact was that it was shot inside a studio.
