Labor Day 2011 Calendar

Being a working woman, life for me was very hectic because I had to take care of all the needs of my 3 school going kids, husband and in-laws. I had to get up very early in the morning to prepare my kids for the school and then had to make break-fast for everyone. I also had to make arrangement of lunch for my in-laws before leaving for my job.

Life for me was very fast and I had no time to take rest, even for few seconds. At office, there used to be lots of work and it was always very tiring. Sunday was the only day when I had little break because of holiday. I always waited for Sunday to come because it gave me the rest, I was always looking for.  

In my office, there were no holidays given, accept for Sunday and Labor Day. I was planning to leave this job but due to financial constraint, I could not ditch this job. I was really tired of my office because even on public holidays they never used to give holiday. For holiday, I always used to check the date of Labor Day 2011 calendar.

I told my husband, I want to resign from my job but he asked me not to resign because there were no jobs in the market and it would be difficult to find a new job with good salary. In my current job, my salary was very good but the company made me work hard for every penny they paid, so nothing was easy or free.

Everyone in the office had to work for 14 hours daily, but now the company had decided to increase the working hours and they wanted all employees to work for 16 hours, also the company had decided to cancel Labor Day 2011 calendar public holiday. All the employees got angry and protested against the management decision to increase working hours and to cancel the one-off public holiday.

All employees went on strike and the consequences were that, the office was shut-down because the management was not ready to change its decision. Talks were going on between the management and the trade union. The management was ready to give holiday on Labor Day 2011 calendar but they were not ready to reduce the working hours. Instead of cutting the work hours, the management decided to increase the salary of all its employees.
